Tickets for September 3rd!!

I desperately need to sell some tickets for the show Sept. 3rd @ Kilby Court w/The Trademark and A Cassandra Utterance! They're only $6, so you don't have an excuse. I'm also doing a package deal: $10 for a ticket AND my latest cd, "Beautiful Divide." I've got ten tickets left that I need to get rid of. Email me at spiraldiarymusic@yahoo.com or message me at myspace.com/spiraldiary

We can figure out some way for me to get the tickets to you. Maybe even meet up the day of the show or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take Care

For Closure

Here are some lyrics I've been working on lately...not quite completed. Still a work in progress.

The house you rest in is a frame that stands bare
The ceiling is cracked beyond repair
Your special someone is somewhere out there
Celebrating a new affair

This house has no insulation
Just drafts, cracks, leaks, and complications
I think it might be time for relocation
Don't you think you deserve a little dedication...
...for once?

There is nothing below the surface
There is no cellar, there are no circuits
You forfeit your future to pay the mortgage
and this old property is worthless

In the corner, there's an exposed wire
that was overlooked
It's going to spark and set this place on fire
We're both cooked
I'm gonna burn like the liar I am

There's a shortage of lumber and bricks
So you settled for a shelter of straws and sticks
Now you've got a big bad wolf and no insurance
When this house falls, you'll be crushed in it

You can dig a new hole
Find a new soul
Lay a new foundation
I'll let you have my dishonest skeleton
You can swing that wrecking ball
You can break my bones and build again
You can paint the walls with my blood and organs

Let me save you a little time...
There is nothing below the surface

What you see is what you get
What you see is all you get with me

Writing update...

Hey everybody,

So I've had a little trouble writing and finishing up lyrics for songs, but I think I've come out of it. I just need to turn off the TV every once and awhile and do something productive. I'm still working on the Winter EP occasionally. Originally, the plan was an Oct. 1st CD release because that date has some significance to me and the CD in particular. However, I'm thinking it might be too close to the last CD release, which was just 2 1/2 months ago in June. I'm hoping to book a show the 1st or maybe that weekend where I'll headline and give people a little preview of the songs that are going to be on the new EP. Keep checking back for that. Anyway, here are the tentative song titles of everything that's in the running for the winter EP. I'll be picking 8 again. It's a good number.

The Best Answer pt. 2
The Audition
Disconnected
Untitled Dark Piano song**
Don't Turn Around (ADD)*
The Difference
Forget You*
Home
For Closure (House)*
Ever So Neatly (Shrink)*
2 Birds, 1 Stone
October First
Perfect Circle
Remorseless*
Endor*
Charmed*
Rearrange*
Hold The Door*
Distance and Detachment**
* - Still needs re-tooling
** - Far from finished

Then possibly the b-sides from Beautiful Divide:
Serendipity
Island
Complete
White Flag

It's a lot of songs, but hopefully it makes for a stronger album in the end. I want to post some of the instrumentals on here as a preview, but I'm not sure how to just put a quicktime wav in...I'll try to figure it out.

HELP ME PLAY A SHOW WITH TAKING BACK SUNDAY AND BLINK 182!

So there's a concert going on next month with Taking Back Sunday and Blink 182. I grew up listening to Blink 182, they inspired all my early bands. Now, Taking Back Sunday is easily one of my favorite bands of all time...to be able to play with them would be a dream come true. I think I would die happy if it happened.

Anyway, I play guitar with Allred and we're in the running to open the show in September at the McKay Events Center. So you just need to click on the link below and vote for Allred.

You can vote twice a day. You'll click once, the page will refresh, and you can click again. Eventually, the vote button will disappear and it will say "Thanks for voting." That means you've voted your max for the day. Please remember each day to put in your two votes. Like I said, it would be a dream come true. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Help us achieve it.

Vote for Allred.

Thank you so much.
